I met Lou at the Jeffersonville Adult Home in upstate New York. While most of the patients at the home suffer from mental illness and old age, Lou talked coherently and still had his health. Over the course of our time together, he told me of his seven years in Vietnam, Bensonhurst mafia exploits, 25 years in jail and losing the love of his life.
